Web design Tips using great graphics and themes

Going back in years, remembering the endless nights spent for designing the skeleton of a site, then coding it and then "dressing" it with images made in Photoshop, makes me saying: "why Joomla, Drupal and WordPress" took so long to become what is currently considered "hot" in the web design?

Of course a site without good graphics nowadays is like a house without walls, paint, furniture and all these good equipments, so for every good to excellent rated website a good graphics package MUST be selected.

Selecting the right theme, the appropriate schema for your typography, CSS styling, objects alignment, constructing the high level sitemap are some of the first steps that need to be planned and think about carefully.

Thanks to Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal and few other Content management systems, the management of the above paradigms is easy for the majority of people - if not saying all- requring mostly visual manipulation via a very well designed backend/administration area, so get yourself a mouse and you are there!

The use of templates and the easy management offered, make them TOP used CM Systems worldwide. A quite impressive, I must say, example of a such template can be seen in this Premium WordPress theme that I have come across, check it out!.

In the old days there were also certain patterns followed for the creation of such graphics, lot of time spent on the creation process, the adaptation in size, colours,  onhover() effects etc. Looking around for ready made graphics packages, i stumbled on quite a few cases on the net that ready made -fully customisable- graphics can be retrieved for a very small amount of money.

One of these cases is an Amazing Graphics package that certainly will make you an astonishing website, I have given it a good rate for the high quality of work offered, and due to the low price that can be obtained.

Searching on Internet it is needless to say that you will come across with other packages, however I couldn't resist not to mention here this excellent source of graphics package. You will love this as well. Check it out!

As you have earlier read  in the article, the look and feel of your site/blog is the second important -if content and copywriting is coming first- that you need to consider seriously and if you are not into it, not good with design and code staff, call a professional or someone that is willing to make you what you want, worth to check something that looks professional!.

Always remember: a visitor can figure out and evaluate in almost 3 seconds (this is research) the quality of the site visiting , so make sure you are above the bounce rate!

Last but not least an essential tool for everyone that respects design principles to the edge: Photoshop! There is a great book that i am proposing to get: Photoshop CS6: The Missing Manual for Great designs
